The world’s most renowned smartphone manufacturer “Samsung” has issued its latest model of its prime “S” line of mobile phones under the name S9. The South Korean leader of Android mobile phones “Samsung” has made sure in its latest production to satisfy its buyers and followers by integrating the latest features with the highest capabilities available on the field.
In its new S9, Samsung didn’t rely on its fame and authority, it really uncovered new and unprecedented features to make sure this year’s version is going to stand out same as the preceding2 ones.
The mobile was uncovered last month and it is now available in many of the many markets in the Middle East including Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
The new S9 is available in four main derivatives which are; Galaxy S9 64 GB priced at SAR 3000, Galaxy S9 128 GB available for SAR 3200, Galaxy S9 Plus 64 GB which is priced at SAR 3400 and finally the Galaxy S9 Plus 128 GB priced at SAR 3550.
These are the four main models of the new S9 available in Saudi Arabia. You can find them in all Samsung outlets and mobile phone sellers, they are also available online on specialized and e-commerce websites. You can buy it now and have delivered to your home or work location.
Both S9 and S9 Plus are running on Android 8.0 Oreo. The new mobile’s design is not really different from the previous S8, it still features Samsung signature curved glass panels in the front and the back. The curved edges make holding the mobile very easy and comfortable for the hand.
This year’s model has the fingerprint sensor right under the camera lens where the finger can easily touch it.
The new models are shorter but heavier than the predecessors. The S9 weighs 163 grams while the S9 Plus weighs 189 grams. In respect of display, S9 is a continuation of Samsung’s leadership in this area. The mobile’s panels offer deep black and vibrant colors which make watching it a real entertainment.
The Samsung has a built-in storage of 64 GB in addition to an external storage that could increase to 400 GB. The mobile has a 3.5 mm headphones jack and a offers headphones in its box. It has also Dolby Atmos support built in to offer extra immersive sound experience in wired audio.
Both S9 and S9 Plus have bottom AKG-tuned dual speakers which are 1.4 times louder than the speakers embedded in the preceding mobiles.
The new mobiles have same batteries as the previous model. They can both be fully charged in 90 minutes and they have the ability of wireless charging through WPC and PMA standards.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 has a 5.8-inch Curved Super AMOLED 2,960 x 1,440 resolution (Quad HD+) 570 ppi.
The processor is a 64-bit octa-core Samsung Exynos 9810. It has a 4 GB RAM and a 64 GB with an ability to expand storage to 400 GB. It has two cameras, the rear camera is 12 MP AF sensor with OIS and the front camera is 8MP AF sensor. The S9 has a 3,000 mAh battery and can connect to WiFi, Bluetooth, and USB Type C. As for authentication means, the S9 has a pattern, PIN, and password.
The S9 Plus has a 6.2-inch Curved Super AMOLED display screen with a resolution 2,960 x 1,440 and 529 ppi.
It has the same processor placed in the S9 model, the global version is embedded with a 2.48 GHz quad + 1.7 GHz quad, while the US version of an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845.
The battery is a bit stronger than the S9 with a non-removable 3,500 mAh that could last for more than 24 hours on moderate consumption rate. It comes with a wired charger and it features fast wireless charging feature compatible with WPC and PMA. The default software is Android 8.0 Oreo with an ability to upgrade of course.
