The talk of the tech town this whole month has been the announcements made during the annual Apple press event on September 10th 2019 where the iPhone 11 Series was announced. Alongside the iPhone 11, the Apple Watch Series 5 was also debuted to the premiere tech figures in attendance.
The Apple Watch 5 has finally arrived to Kuwait and it will boast a feature that Apple and tech fans around the world have been requesting for years.
Since the launch of the first Apple Watch back in 2015, Apple’s Smart Watch quickly became the bestselling wearable device and the world’s favorite smart watch. Accolades that Apple still holds to this day.
The new 5 Series edition of the Apple Watch comes with a number of new features and specs, most notably the always-on display and beautiful new cases.
Always On – Display
The biggest new feature that will show up on the Apple Watch 5 is a display that never sleeps!
On previous Apple Watch models, we had to raise our wrists upwards to trigger the screen display every time we needed to check the time. This doesn’t sound like such a hassle, but it could get inconvenient (not to mention a bit awkward and rude during one on one conversations).
This year, the new Apple Watch 5 will feature a display that never sleeps. But why did Apple wait till the 5th edition of the Apple Watch to introduce this coveted feature? They were perfecting the LTPO technology that makes this Watch run so smoothly.
One of the biggest red flags when considering integrating an always-on display is the effect it will have on battery life. Apple pride themselves in producing smart watches with batteries that last for an impressive average of 1.5 / 2 days.
By implementing the new LTPO technology Apple made sure that the battery life will not be compromised at all by the display. The Apple Watch 5 will manually adjust the brightness and drop the refresh rate when you lower you wrist. That way, you can always check the time at a glance without having to raise your wrist and you’ll still have the same long battery life.

New Exciting Material and Finishing Options
Even though it shares the same design as the Apple Watch Series 4, the Series 5 now comes in a variety of new exciting finishes like the sleek aluminum and titanium finishes along with the gorgeous ceramic and steel options that we’ve seen in previous models.
Compass and Other New Features
A new compass feature was announced for the Apple Watch 5. If you’re not a hardcore hiker/outdoors-man this feature might not seem all that important. However, Apple has enabled 3rd party access to the Compass which means that it will be implemented in Maps, in running applications and any other application that offers navigation.
In addition, for travelers with the cellular model, Apple now offers the emergency calling feature that enables you to make emergency calls in over 150 countries around the world regardless of your cellular plan.
Focusing on ultimate practicality and convenience, Apple presented The Apple Watch Series 5 as an exciting new evolution in their line of Smart Watches.
