Ahead of the New York press event launch on 7 August 2019, the internet has been buzzing with rumors about the new Samsung Note 10. After the failed Galaxy Fold fiasco and with a launch date one month before Apple’s new line of iPhone release, Samsung is expected to do big things with the latest Samsung Note 10.
Then Galaxy Note series is Samsung’s flagship phablet handheld device. Now weeks before the highly anticipated release, the excitement is palpable as everyone is asking: What changes will Samsung implement in the next Note model to justify the expected price tag?
While none of the rumors (even the ones leaked from Samsung) can be 100% confirmed, multiple sources have reported drastic improvements that we might see come August 7.
The sensible thing to do is to take all the the Note 10 rumors with a pinch of salt until the August 7th release rolls around. With that being said, It’s always fun to speculate!
We did some detective work ourselves and here’s what we’ve heard about the new Samsung Note 10:
We might be saying good bye to the headphone Jack
One of the biggest talking points about the Note 10 is the headphone Jack. Apple made huge waves in the tech community back in 2016 when it controversially removed the 3.5 mm headphone jack. It sounds like Samsung are planning to follow suit.
An ET news report initially broke the news and the rumor was given more credibility later when some images were leaked showing the Note 10 with no headphone jack.
As the audio industry increasingly moves towards wireless earbuds it makes sense that Samsung would remove the 3.5 mm jack to further promote their Wireless Galaxy Earbuds. Reports speculate whether Samsung will include the earbuds in-box as a bundle or rather opt out by providing USB-C earphones or a 3.5mm dongle with with classic earphones.
If indeed it turns out that the upcoming Note 10 mobile has no 3.5 mm jack, Samsung are expected to make use of the extra space by increasing battery capacity by 500 mAh for a total of 4,500 mAh in comparison to the Galaxy Note 9‘s 4,000 mAh capacity.
Another notable change made evident from the leaked pictures above is the volume rocker and power button found on the left side with no Bixby button on the right.
What colors should we be expecting?
Earlier this week, it was leaked by various Samsung websites that the next Note 10 will be available in 4 colors: ‘Aura Glow’, ‘Aura Black’ and ‘Aura White’.
Other reports indicate that we might also be seeing the Note 10 in a shade of Pink distinctly different from the Samsung Galaxy S10‘s ‘Flamingo Pink’
Reports from German tech website Winfuture reveal that the new Note 10 phone will feature a front-facing camera placed in the middle of the device along with 3 rear cameras : a wide-angle lense, an ultra-wide lens, and a zoom lens.
Even though none of the above can be officially confirmed until the launch date on 7 August, all reports seem to indicate that Samsung is planning something big for the 2019 debut of the all-new Samsung Galaxy S10.
