Microsoft Surface is a line of touchscreen personal computers manufactured by Microsoft and delivered to markets under its name. Default Surface tablets have a 10.6-inch touchscreen display, they also come with USB support, a built-in stand to make the tablet stand up properly, Wi-Fi antenna, and an optional keyboard that can work also as the tablet’s cover.
Microsoft has two versions of the Surface tablet. The first is the Windows RT that runs on an ARM processor, which comes with 32 or 64 gigabytes of storage and a version of Microsoft Office.
The second version is the Surface Pro which comes has the full Windows 8 operating system and runs on Intel Ivy Bridge processor. The pro version of Surface comes also with USB 3.0 support, a digital display system named DisplayPort, a Secure Digital Extended Capacity (SDXD) expansion slot, and a storage capacity that doubles the RT version.
The first Microsoft Surface released with Windows RT was in late October 2012. Most reviews praised the design of the tablet, however, it received many critics on its performance, lack of apps, and isolation from older software programs.
The Ultimate Laptop
is described by Microsoft as the ultimate laptop and product of tomorrow. It is completely adaptable and adjustable to become as most convenient for the user as a laptop can get.
The Surface can be shaped in a regular laptop mode and a tablet mode where the keyboard can be detached and only the large top-quality display screen is used. There is also the studio mode and the view mode.
The laptop features an extraordinarily long battery that stays for around 17 hours and enables the user from running powerful applications including graphic ones and others needing an excessive power supply. Three main models
The new Surface is issued in three main models. The first and the most economic is the 13.5-inch PixelSense embedded with a 7th generation Core i5-7300U Intel HD Graphics 620 integrated GPU.
There is also the other 13.5 inches PixelSense Surface embedded with an 8th generation Intel Core i7-8650 processor with quad-core power.
The third one is the largest. With a 15-inch display screen, this model of Microsoft Surface offers the biggest and purest screen although it is embedded with the same built-in processor found in the previous model.
Microsoft Surface is endurable and very light in weight, it has a sleek and fancy look thanks to its widescreen and smart metal frame. It is magnificently slim and light to take anywhere you want. Any place can be your workplace with Microsoft Surface.
The laptop has an interactive display screen that can be touched and written on. The screen displays sharp resolution graphics and strikingly blazing colors. Providing a smartpen, the new Surface offers a sketching and writing feature same as the real life, it can be used for shading and draw as well.
Moreover, there is a soft backlit keyboard that enables users’ from hovering over it and typing in a very easy manner
The laptop comes with an extended set of accessories that boost its features. There is a Surface Precision Mouse that offers top accuracy in hovering and targeting, Surface Dock to easily transform the laptop into a PC, Surface Pen to write and draw faster than ever, and an HDMI adapter to easily connect the laptop to an HDMI display in order to showcase images, videos, or any other form of media on large screens.
Microsoft Surface is equipped with a USB 3.1 portal, full-size SD card, and Surface Dock to stay connected with all other kinds of devices. Its USB port is used to charge other devices in addition to transferring files.
Since July 2015, all produced Surface devices are embedded with Windows 10 operating system, also all other older models are eligible to upgrade to Windows 10.
Moreover, all Surface devices have a set of applications installed like Mail, Alarm, Calendar, Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Store, and many others. They also have One Note application made for scribbling notes. The Windows 10 operating system can recognize handwriting and turn it into the text to be processed by different software applications.
